// who we are

The shop behind
the work.

Creadev.org builds websites, web applications, and the infrastructure behind them. We are based in Warren, Pennsylvania, and we work with the shop on Main Street and the company with a thousand employees at the same standard.

What this is

Creadev.org was founded in 2013 by Derek Haupin, who still runs it.

Creadev.org is an engineering shop in Warren, PA, in the county seat of Warren County, on the Allegheny River at the edge of the Allegheny National Forest. We build custom websites, web applications, e-commerce, back ends, internal tools, and the IT that keeps a small business running.

The work is front end to back end, scope to launch. We are as comfortable in the browser as on the server, which means you are not handing your project to three vendors who each blame the other two when something breaks.

We have no interest in being the biggest shop in the region. We would rather be the one that tells you the truth about scope, builds the thing properly, and hands it over so you own it.

We use what we build

The clearest thing we can tell you about how we work is what we run on this website. The SEO prerender layer that turns these pages into static HTML, the adversarial tool that attacks the build looking for holes, and the visual regression rig that catches a one-pixel change across the whole site are all ours. We wrote them, we use them on our own site first, and we use them on client work.

This is not a marketing claim, it is an engineering habit. If we will not run a tool on our own build, we have no business asking you to trust it on yours. When a tool finds a real problem here, that problem gets fixed here first, and the fix is what ships.

You can read the receipts. Several of those tools have case studies on this site describing what they caught and what we changed because of it.

How we work

Custom by default. If a template genuinely fits your needs, we will say so, and that is not a sales tactic to talk you out of it. The default is built to spec because most businesses have at least one requirement a theme cannot meet.

You own everything. Accounts, keys, domains, and infrastructure live in your name from the start. No lock-in, no hostage hosting, and no vendor who holds your site over your head. Leaving us is a choice you keep, and we would rather earn the next project than trap you in this one.

Honest scope. We tell you what a project needs and what it does not, before you spend money on the wrong thing. Sometimes that means telling you the smaller option is the right one.

Built to be handed off. Standardized code, documented decisions, and no mystery dependencies, so the next person who touches the work is not lost. That person might be us in three years, or someone you hire who has never met us. Either way, the work should make sense without a phone call.

What we will not do

We will not promise a search ranking or a deadline we cannot control. We will tell you what the work depends on and let you judge the risk yourself.

We will not sell you a rebuild when a smaller fix would do, and we will not pretend a problem is not there to avoid an awkward conversation. The awkward conversation is cheaper now than it will be later.

We will not invent numbers to make a page look better. No fabricated client counts, no testimonials we cannot stand behind, no results we cannot show. If you see a number on this site, it is one we can account for.

Where we work

We are based in Warren, Pennsylvania, and work on-site across Northwestern Pennsylvania: Warren, Jamestown, Erie, and Bradford. Being local means on-site visits are easy, calls are in the same time zone, and when something breaks the night before a launch, help is not three time zones away.

Most of our work is remote and always has been. We work with clients across the country and internationally, and remote is normal for us rather than a compromise. Time zones are manageable, screen sharing is routine, and we write things down so nothing depends on a meeting you had to be in.
