AI &
Agent Engineering

Agents write code now, and they write it fast. The hard part moved. It is no longer getting software out of a model, it is trusting what comes back. We build the workflow and the guardrails together, so AI speed does not cost you correctness.

What is included: AI & Agent Engineering

Agent workflows

Design and wire the agent loop: the tools it can call, the memory it keeps, and the handoff between what the machine does alone and what a person signs off on.

AI-assisted builds

Sites and apps built with agents in the loop, then finished by hand where it counts: the data model, the failure paths, and the parts a demo never exercises.

Guardrails and gates

The checks that catch what generation misses: adversarial QA, visual regression, SEO and accessibility audits, and a build-time contract that fails a bad deploy.

Ownership and escape

Everything lands in code you own, on infrastructure you control, with no dependency on the tool that generated it. If the platform folds, your app does not.

Agents are a build target, not a gimmick

A year ago, asking a model to write your application was a novelty. Now it is how a lot of software actually gets started, and the results are real: working apps, shipped, earning money. The speed is not hype. It is the fastest a small team has ever gone from an idea to something running in front of users.

What changed is where the difficulty sits. Generation is cheap and getting cheaper. The scarce thing is confidence: knowing that what the model produced is correct, safe, and yours to keep. That is an engineering problem, and it is the one we work on.

So we treat an agent like any other build target. It needs a spec, a test strategy, an owner, and a way to prove the output is what it claims to be. Skip those and you have not shipped software, you have shipped a demo that has not failed yet.

The problem with generated code is that it looks finished

Code from a model is fluent. It reads well, it runs, and it passes the happy path you tried by hand. That fluency is exactly the trap, because the parts that fail are the parts you did not think to test.

The failure modes are consistent, and we see the same ones across projects:

  • Handlers that throw on input they did not expect instead of refusing it cleanly, so a strange request takes down a whole route.
  • Secrets and keys pasted straight into the source, where they ride into the build and out to the browser.
  • A visual layer that regresses in silence, because nothing compares today page to yesterday pixel.
  • SEO and accessibility treated as an afterthought, so the site is invisible to search and unusable with a keyboard.
  • No owner and no documentation, so the first person to inherit it has to reverse-engineer their own application.

The gates that make AI output trustworthy

We do not close this with discipline or hope. We close it with gates: automated checks that run on every change and fail loudly when something regresses. They are the same tools we built for our own site, and we run them here first.

Each one closes a specific gap that generation leaves open:

  • Prestruct, our SEO prerender layer, bakes every route to real HTML with schema, Open Graph, and a sitemap, so an agent-built React app is readable by search and answer engines instead of invisible.
  • Crashtest runs a seeded adversarial campaign against the real handlers, through a fake transport, with no network. It proves that bad input is refused rather than fatal, and it fails CI on a regression.
  • Eyestruct is visual regression for agents: deterministic capture, pixel-level diff, and a committed visual memory that CI can gate, so a swapped image or a broken layout cannot ship quietly.
  • Poststruct audits what actually shipped, any generator output, for SEO hygiene, link integrity, and accessibility, and exits non-zero on a failure.
  • Govstruct keeps a family of repos honest, one manifest and one doctor verb that verifies every member serves the same truth.
  • Monoforge stamps new repos from proven blocks and refuses to ship a placeholder, because generated green is never shipped.

Who this is for

Some clients come to us with an app they generated and cannot safely change. Others want to build with agents from the start and skip the part where they find out the hard way. Both are the same job: get the speed of generation without giving up the guarantees of real engineering.

If your project is a demo, a prototype, or something you are still deciding whether to keep, you may not need us yet. If it is taking real users, real money, or real data, the gates are worth more than the features. That is the point at which we earn our keep.

Common questions

Do you use AI to build?

Yes, where it helps, and we say so. We also finish by hand: the data model, the failure paths, and the security surface are reviewed by a person, and every change runs through the same automated gates we run on our own site.

Can you take over an app that was vibe coded?

That is one of the most common things we do. We read what is there, work out what is load-bearing and what is fragile, and tell you honestly whether it is cheaper to harden it or rebuild. We built Migrare for exactly this, extracting apps from Lovable, Bolt, Replit, and v0 into code you own.

What is an agent, in plain terms?

Software that takes a goal and works toward it in steps, using tools you give it, rather than following a fixed script. In practice it is an assistant that can read your files, run commands, and make changes, which is powerful and worth supervising.

Is AI-built software less secure?

Not inherently, but it is more likely to look finished before it is. The gaps are predictable, and automated gates catch them. The danger is shipping without those gates, not the AI itself.

What do you charge for this?

Same as any project: priced to scope, with the reasoning shown. Adding guardrails to an existing app is a smaller job than building one from scratch, and we will tell you which one you actually need.
